Father Name: Late NARASA RAJU
D O B : 10.06.1959
RELIGION : Hindu-Raju Kashathriya
ADDRESS : #1348, 32nd Cross, F28th Main, 4T block, Jayanagar, Bangalore, Karnataka, India-560045.
Born in a middle class family on June 10, 1959, he is son of Late Narsa Raju and Girija N.
N. Nagaraju has pursued graduation in the faculty of Arts (B.A) from K.S.Arts College at Hubli which is affiliated to the Karnataka University and later, completed his bachelor’s in law (L.L.B) from J.S.S. Law College affiliated to the Mysore University. Enamored by nationalist belief and love for the motherland, it was quite appropriate that he chose “Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad“ to begin his public life. Every election is a lottery and it is difficult to predict the chances of any contestant with any reasonable degree of certainty, but among the very few candidates who can be said to be a winner right from the word go, is Corporator, N.Nagaraju, BJP candidate fancying his chances from Byrasandra ward in Jayanagar. On the campaign trail with “Park Nagaraju” title, TWB glimpsed at the truth blowing in the wind and also at the popular candidate’s ideas for his ward.
Here’s an on-the-spot report from the campaign:
On the reasons for his confidence: There are a variety of factors, local and otherwise, his “proven track record” as preceding Corporator from Byrasandra, the development works taken up already and a complete blueprint for the all-round development of Jayanagar.
On people’s response during the campaign: “It has been very good” People from all sections, such as homemakers, youth, women, senior citizens and friends are with new ideas of Sri N. Nagaraju.
On Blueprint for Byrasandra: “My dream and priority for Byrasandra is it should maintain its brand equity as a place of peace, and be the number one ward inJayanagar as well as in Bangalore and this we will ensure with the support of our leader and Jayanagar MLA Sri. B.N.Vijayakumar.”
Local issues: Jayanagar does not have a community hall for the lower and middle classes. To this end, the City Corporation should convert the now closed PuttannaTheater into a community hall. The people will then have an option that will be cheaper and better, vis-a-vis private halls.
On the recent correction delimitation process: “As an Ex. Corporator of earlier Pattabhiramangar ward, I have served in almost in and around Jayanagar constituency and the people are very well aware of me and my achievements. They know that I am one of the few corporators who are honest and result oriented and supported every individual’s needandrequirements onthepossibilityofpeoplechoosinganewface. Just because I am an old hand does not mean people will discard me. Experience has its own virtues and is preferred in all fields, including inpolitics.”
On the young voters’ profile: Today’s youth are smart enough to distinguish between promises and performances. Also, I have no problems with the age of the voters as I enjoy popularity across all age groups and social sections.”
Will people vote for you on party lines or as a personal choice: “As I said, because of my past track record. I have served all sections of society. In my tenure as Corporator, I have steered clear of any controversy and am seen to be acceptable to all sections of people irrespective of caste, religion, etc. People affectionately remember my track record as Corporator when I took up the cause of greening Jayanagar with a lot of passion years back. I will continue to be active in public life, and serving the people of my ward even when I am not in power. Byrasandra ward saw the development of one of the highest top class parks, which is why people call me as Park Nagaraju.”
